1. Introduction
Welcome to Milngavie Cleaning Company (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking or using our cleaning services via our website https://milngaviecleaningcompany.co.uk or through any other communication method, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.Please read them carefully before making a booking.
2. Our Services
We provide domestic cleaning and related services in Milngavie, Bearsden, and surrounding areas (East Dunbartonshire, G61–G81).Our services include regular, one-off, deep, and end of tenancy cleans.
Each service type is described on our website. The duration and scope of work depend on the selected package and your booking details.
3. Booking and Confirmation
Bookings can be made online via our website or through direct contact (email, phone, or form).
Bookings are confirmed once you receive written or automated confirmation from us.
Deep cleans, end of tenancy cleans, or large properties may require an on-site or virtual estimate before confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline or reschedule any booking at our discretion.
4. Pricing and Payment
Prices are clearly stated on our website for standard services (Express Tidy, Signature Clean, Deep Clean).
All prices are inclusive of labour, insurance, and equipment (if selected).
Payment is due on the day of service unless agreed otherwise.
We accept online payments via Setmore or direct bank transfer.
There are no hidden fees, fuel surcharges, or call-out charges.
Discounts or promotional offers (e.g. senior discount, new client offers) apply only once per household and cannot be combined.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand plans can change.
For standard cleans, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.
For Deep Cleans or End of Tenancy services, we require 48 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made with less notice may incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Missed appointments (where the cleaner cannot gain entry) are charged in full.
6. Access to Property
Clients are responsible for providing safe access to the property at the agreed time.If keys are provided, they will be kept securely and used only for the purpose of the scheduled clean.
7. Equipment and Products
Clients may choose either:
To have the cleaner use their own cleaning equipment and products (Express Tidy / Signature Clean – Your Products), or
To have Milngavie Cleaning Company provide professional equipment and products (Our Products).
Eco-friendly and allergen-free options are available upon request.
We are not responsible for damage caused by faulty equipment or products provided by the client.
8. Insurance and Liability
All cleaners are fully insured for public liability and accidental damage.
We take every precaution to protect your property. However, we cannot accept liability for:
Normal wear and tear,
Pre-existing damage,
Items not securely fixed, or
Accidental damage valued under £250 (our insurance excess).
Any claim must be reported within 24 hours of the service.
9. Satisfaction Guarantee
Your satisfaction matters to us.If you are not entirely happy with a clean, please notify us within 24 hours and we will arrange a free re-clean of the affected area where reasonable.Refunds are not provided once service has been rendered unless a significant failure to deliver is proven.
10. Health & Safety
Our cleaners reserve the right to refuse service in environments that pose a health or safety risk.
We cannot move heavy furniture or handle hazardous waste.
Pets should be secured during cleaning for the safety of both staff and animals.
11. Confidentiality and Privacy
We respect your privacy. All client information is kept confidential and used solely to provide and manage your cleaning service.Our [Privacy Policy] will detail how we handle your data in compliance with the UK GDPR.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control (e.g. severe weather, illness, public emergencies).
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
